The Ebon Empire
The southern and eastern most nation of Iporis, Fara is also the largest with the most varying terrain. The central area is composed of wild plains with tall grasses and sparse trees where many wild animals roam. The Farans that live here have taken to capturing such animals for zoos, research, and in some cases, for taming. Occasionally outsiders will come and hire the natives to escort them wile they hunt the dangerous animals for sport.
Bordering this area is a realm of tamed lands strewn with farms and towns. Lumber is in heavy supply here and many villages are set up along the mountains that boarder the coast. It is in these mountains that the Faran people have discovered veins of iron and silver. Extensive mining operations have been set up to claim these important resources but none compare to the scale to Fara’s most important trade…diamond. The diamond mines are located near the base of the nations only volcano, blessedly inactive. The sheer scale of this facility is outmatched only by the cruelty of those that oversee it. Hours are long and hard. The work is dangerous and often costs lives. However, those that can withstand working here for five years under these conditions are given an amount of uncut diamond worth enough to live off of for 10 years (if not squandered).
